- Stems spreading to 1 m. long; twigs velvety puberulent, sometimes with longer spreading hairs.

- Leaves opposite, subsessile; petiole 1(–3) mm. long; lamina coriaceous, grey-green to glaucous, ovate, 2–9 cm. long, 2–6 cm. wide, obtuse or rounded at the apex, cordate to amplexicaul at the base, glabrous, with 3–9 pairs of spreading nerves.

- Umbels 4-flowered; peduncle 1–3 mm. long; pedicels 0–2 mm. long; bract cupular, with a small triangular limb, 2.5–3 mm. long.

- Overlaps the range of T. quequensis in western Zambia and, from herbarium material, extremely similar there apart from the virtually sessile cordate leaves; field comparisons and notes on host ranges would be valuable.
