- Leaves herbaceous; petiole 2–7 cm long, glabrous to puberulent; lamina ovate, broadly ovate, elliptic, broadly elliptic or sub-orbicular, (6–)12–20(–28) × (3–)6–14(–20) cm, acuminate to cuspidate, sometimes recurved, base obtuse to cordate, glabrous to sparsely puberulent or sparsely puberulent on veins only, bright green above, paler green beneath

- Inflorescences 10–20-flowered, glabrous to puberulent; flower odour most unpleasant.
