    Habit
    Scandent shrub 2-8 m tall; branches arching, becoming pendulous; stems when young crispate-pubescent with simple or asymmetrically T-shaped hairs.
    Leaves
    Leaves sessile, elliptic to lanceolate, 5-12 cm long, 1.5-3.2 cm wide, base cuneate or attenuate and petioloid, margins entire or slightly dentate, apex acuminate or acuminate-attenuate, apiculate, scabrid and ± glabrescent above, thinly crispate-pubescent on veins and glandular beneath.
    Capitulum
    Capitula numerous in large rounded terminal corymbiform paniculoid compound cymes; stalks of individual capitula 2-10 mm long, pubescent; involucre ovoid, green, 6-9 mm long; phyllaries 4-seriate, thinly brownish-arachnoid and glandular at least when young, median and inner sometimes purple-tinged towards the apex, ovate, obtuse to rounded, apiculate, the inner 6.2-7.6 mm long.
    Flowers
    Corolla white or creamy, sometimes tinged pale mauve, 6.2-9 mm long, lobes 2-3.2 mm long, glabrous.
    Fruits
    Achenes 3.3-3.5 mm long, strongly 10-ribbed, glabrous; outer pappus setose, inner pappus whitish or pale stramineous, 7.3-8 mm long.
