    Habit
    Tree up to 14 m. tall; trunk longitudinally fluted; bark smooth, grey; branches striate with reddish-grey bark, pilose near the apex; lenticels orange.
    Leaves
    Leaves pinnate; petiole up to 4·5 cm. long, densely pilose; leaflets 3–6-jugate, lamina up to 7 × 3·3 cm., lanceolate to narrowly ovate, apex acute to acuminate, margin entire, base rounded or broadly cuneate, pilose on the nerves and veins; petiolule up to 1 mm. long, densely pilose; rhachis densely pilose.
    Flowers
    Flowers appearing with the leaves in axillary paniculate cymes up to 8 cm. long; panicle-branches glabrous; bracts up to 6 × 2·5 mm., foliaceous, lanceolate, apex acute, base cuneate, pilose; bracteoles 2–3 mm. long, caducous, subulate, pilose; pedicels up to 5 mm. long, glabrous.
    Calyx
    Calyx c. 1·75 mm. long, broadly campanulate, lobed 3/4-way, pilose outside.
    Corolla
    Petals c. 4 mm. long.
    Stamens
    Stamen-filaments subterete.
    Disc
    Disk-lobes 4.
    Fruits
    Fruit c. 1·2 × 1 cm., ovoid, glabrous; pseudaril with 4 arms; endocarp c. 9 × 9 mm., cordiform, smooth with both faces moderately convex.
