    Habit
    Low terrestrial (type) or epiphyte ( Balslev).
    Rhizomes
    Rhizome erect, with dark brown, triangular scales 1–1.3 × 0.4 mm, attenuate, the margins entire.
    Leaves
    Fronds tufted, 10–13 cm long.
    Stipes
    Stipe 1–2 cm long, glabrous or nearly so.
    Leaf lamina
    Lamina herbaceous, green, lanceolate, 9–11 × 2–2.6 cm, simple, costa glabrous, white, base long-attenuate, margin crenate-serrate, apex rounded or obtuse, here often proliferous.
    Sori
    Sori many, at an oblique angle, reaching neither costa nor margin, linear, 3.5–8 mm long.
    Indusium
    Indusium membranous, to 0.7 mm wide, entire.

    Mist or swamp forest; 1170–1480 m – though the type must have been from a lower (but unknown) altitude
    Conservation
    Though with a large extent of occurrence, this is only known from three recent localities; here assessed as Vulnerable (VU-D2).
