    Outer florets yellow, female, filiform; inner florets hermaphrodite, fewer than the outer, yellow, lobes glandular, anthers short-tailed, style branches truncate
    Fruits
    Achenes usually glabrous, with mucilaginous hairs; pappus of barbellate bristles, basally with patent cilia.
