Petiole 3–7 mm, dark; stipules ± triangular, up to 3.5 x 1 mm, margin minutely hairy; leaf-blade oblong-elliptic to lanceolate or oblanceolate, 5.5–7.5 x 2–3.5 cm, base rounded to truncate, tip acute to rounded, lateral veins 10–14 each side, looping or branching before margin, tertiary veins prominent, ± parallel, underside prominently reticulate, upper side blackish when dried, underside grey
