    Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle open; ovate; 15-30 cm long; 10-25 cm wide. Primary panicle branches whorled at most nodes; 8-15 cm long. Panicle branches scaberulous; glabrous in axils; with insignificant pulvini. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled. Pedicels scaberulous.

Fertile lemma elliptic; dorsally compressed; 3.5 mm long; coriaceous; yellow; shiny; without keel. Lemma margins involute. Lemma apex obtuse. Palea involute; coriaceous. Rhachilla extension 3.5 mm long.
