Palea of lower sterile floret 1 length of lemma. Fertile lemma ovate; dorsally compressed; 3 mm long; indurate; dark brown; without keel. Lemma surface striate. Lemma margins involute. Lemma apex acute, or acuminate. Palea involute; indurate.
