    Habit
    Much-branched spreading subshrub, ± 2–7 dm. tall.
    Branches
    Branches densely appressed white pubescent, glabrescent; bark brown with peeling epidermis.
    Leaves
    Leaves often subtending abbreviated shoots bearing clusters of smaller leaves, 3-foliolate; leaflets oblanceolate to obovate or almost obtriangular, up to 14 mm. long and 7 mm. wide, ± thinly appressed pilose on both surfaces; petiole up to 6 mm. long.
    Stipules
    Stipules filiform or linear-caudate, 1–4 mm. long.
    Inflorescences
    Racemes mostly lateral from the leaf-clusters, but a few usually also leaf-opposed, ± 2–7 cm. long, with up to 10(–15) laxly arranged flowers on the slender rhachis; bracts linear-lanceolate, up to 2 mm. long; bracteoles inserted at the base of the calyx or just below, linear, up to 2 mm. long.
    Calyx
    Calyx 2–3·5 mm. long, pubescent; lobes acuminately triangular, ± as long as the tube or shorter.
    Corolla
    Standard suborbicular, bright yellow, veined reddish, glabrous or with a few hairs along the midvein outside; wings shorter than the keel; keel sharply rounded about the middle, with a narrow acute slightly incurved untwisted beak, 5·5–8(–9) mm. long.
    Fruits
    Pod shortly stipitate, ovoid-ellipsoid to narrowly oblong-obovoid, up to 7 mm. long, 4 mm. across, white pilose, 4–8-seeded.
    Seeds
    Young seeds wrinkled, terracotta; mature ones unknown.
    Habitat
    Deciduous bushland and semi-desert scrub, in open sandy and rocky places; 400–1150m.
