Habit
Small much-branched shrub, up to 90 cm tall
Leaflets
Leaflets 1–5, the lateral, where present, alternate, cuneate-obovate, up to 7 x 4 mm, silvery pubescent on both sides
Stipules
Stipules up to c. 6 mm long, with a broad scarious base, attached to the petiole for c. 2 mm and, with it, persistent after the leaflets have fallen
Inflorescences
Racemes very short, subsessile, 1–3-flowered
Calyx
Calyx c. 1.5 mm long, deeply divided

Standard pubescent outside
Stamens
Stamens c. 3 mm long

Pod straight, c. 10 x 1.5 mm, strigulose, c. 5–6-seeded.
