- Habit
- Shrubby herb up to 1.3 m. tall; branches reddish, strigulose.
- Leaves
- Stipules subulate, ± 1.5 mm. long; rhachis up to 5 cm. long, including a petiole of 5–12 mm., prolonged 3–5 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; leaflets 5–13, elliptic-oblong, up to 9 mm. long and 4 mm. wide, strigose on both surfaces.

- Racemes many-flowered, up to 14 cm. long in fruit, including a peduncle of ± 5 mm.; bracts lanceolate, caducous; pedicels ± 1 mm. long.

- Calyx ± 1.5–2 mm. long, divided to the middle, shorter above than below; lobes triangular, with subulate tips.
