    Habit
    Perennial climbing or trailing viscid herb 1.5–2.5 m long.

    Stems pubescent and also with longer glandular-based hairs.

    Leaflets 3, 1.7–8 × 1.7–7.4 cm, ovate, oblate or rhombic, scarcely to distinctly acuminate, cuneate to rounded or truncate at the base, pubescent and pilose on both surfaces; petiole 1.5–8 cm long; rhachis 6–20 mm long; petiolules 1.5–4 mm long; stipules 4–10 × 3–4 mm, triangular, veined, hairy.

    Inflorescences axillary; rhachis 3.5–7 cm long; peduncle 1–7 cm long; pedicels 1–1.5 mm long; bracts deciduous, 3.5–6.5 × 1.5–3 mm, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, pubescent.
    Calyx
    Calyx pubescent and sometimes with longer glandular-based hairs; tube 2–3 mm long; lobes 1–5 mm long, triangular, the lowest the longest, the upper pair joined for ± half their length.
    Corolla
    Standard yellow, rarely marked, or purple to deep crimson, 7.5–13 × 5.5–8.5 mm, elliptic-oblong, densely pubescent and glandular; wings yellow; keel greenish-white.
    Fruits
    Pods 18–27 × 7–8 mm, oblong-falcate, narrowed at the base, aristate, finely puberulous and also covered with stiff bristly golden-yellow glandular-based hairs c. 2 mm long.
