    Habit
    Perennial herb with woody roots 5 mm. thick and tufted habit.
    Stem
    Stems erect or decumbent, up to 4.5 dm. long, shortly pilose, glabrescent towards the base.
    Leaves
    Leaves 2-foliolate; leaflets oblong-elliptic, up to 32 × 8 mm., shortly apiculate, sparsely pilose, especially on the margins, glandular-punctate on both surfaces; lowest leaves unknown.
    Stipules
    Stipules narrowly lanceolate, up to 22 mm. long.
    Bracts
    Bracts ovate, acute, as long as or slightly longer than the internodes, beset with punctate glands and shortly and inconspicuously pilose.
    Flowers
    Flowers as long as or slightly longer than the bracts.
    Calyx
    Calyx ± 3.5 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Petals yellow with “dark” veins on the standard, which is up to 8(–10) mm. long.
    Fruits
    Legume up to 10 mm. long and 5-seeded; segments 2 × 2 mm., glabrous, without or with a few vestigial bristles.
    Habitat
    Combretum, Commiphora bushland; 1050–1200 m.
