- Leaves 3–5palmatipartite, 5–8 cm long; lobes between 4–6 cm long and often membranaceous, apices acute, base truncate, margin serrate, veins beneath aculeolate, sparsely hispid above and below; stipules lanceolate, 7–10 × 2–3 mm; petiole 3–6 cm long, aculeolate with a line of pubescence

- Flowers solitary in the leaf axils; pedicel ± 3 mm long, sparsely hispid; epicalyx bracts forked, ± 15 mm long, patently pilose; sepals ± 17 mm long, acuminate, sparsely hispid

- Staminal tube 1.8 cm long; filaments 1.5–2 mm long
