    Habit
    Annual sometimes perennial; floating stolons numerous; stems and petioles 1–3 mm. thick in life.
    Leaves
    Petiole 3–6 cm. long; lamina 3–5(11) cm. in diam., circular.
    Flowers
    Flowers (5)10–15 homostylous; pedicels 0.5–2.5(3) cm. long, slender.
    Calyx
    Calyx c. 3 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Corolla yellow less than 10 mm. long, lobes villous at margins and along midvein inside, tube 1.5–2 mm. long, lobes 4–7 mm. long.
    Fruits
    Capsule 5–7 mm. in diam., globose, exceeding the calyx, 10–15 seeded.
    Seeds
    Seeds 1.3–1.6 mm. long, lenticular, finely lenticular or tuberculate.
