    Habit
    Shrubby climber.
    Stem
    Young stems pubescent, glabrescent, older stems with smooth bark.
    Petiole
    Petioles 2–5 mm. long, articulated at about the middle.
    Leaf lamina
    Leaves coriaceous, sparsely pubescent to glabrous on both faces; lamina 1–6–4·5 x 0·8–3·4 cm., ovate to elliptic or narrowly elliptic, base acute to rounded, apex obtuse or acute, mucronate; venation slightly raised on both surfaces, inconspicuous below; lateral nerves several, the basal ones joining with others before reaching leaf apex.
    Domatia
    Acarodomatia present in axils of lateral nerves up to middle of leaf.
    Flowers
    Flowers borne on lateral branches in terminal few– (3–4)–flowered racemes and in the axils of upper leaf–pairs, sweet scented; pedicels 9–15 mm. long.
    Calyx
    Calyx glabrous or pubescent; tube 3 mm. long; lobes 4–5, represented by minute thickened points or by conduplicate, recurved teeth up to 2 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Corolla white, fleshy or thin–textured; tube 17–25 mm. long; lobes 4–7, 10–15 mm. long, elliptic, apex acute.
    Stamens
    Stamens inserted in the top half of corolla tube; filaments up to 2 mm. long; anthers 3–4 mm. long.
    Style
    Style either exserted from tube or c. 1/2 as long.
    Fruits
    Fruit with lobes subglobose, c. 7 mm. long.
