    Distribution

    China (south-western Guizhou, western and northern Guangxi and south-eastern Yunnan) and possibly Vietnam; 295–1200 m.

    General Description

    A small terrestrial herb. Leaves 4–6, suberect, linear, obtuse and minutely tridenticulate at apex, 8–19 cm long, 0.7–1.5 cm wide, green. Inflorescence 1-flowered, erect, c. 16 cm long; peduncle 9–11 cm long, slender, shortly pubescent; bract elliptic, subacute to obtuse, 1.8–2 cm long. Flower up to 6.5 cm across; dorsal sepal white with green base and less commonly a central pinkish vein; petals honey-coloured or ochre with a cream or green margin; lip tan-brown; staminode yellow with orange knob; pedicel and ovary 2.7–3 cm long, pubescent. Dorsal sepal subcircular, emarginate or obtuse, 3–3.2 cm long, 2.5–3.3 cm wide. Synsepal elliptic, obtuse, 2.5–3.5 cm long, 1.3–1.7 cm wide. Petals oblong-ligulate to ligulate-spathulate, obtuse, 3.3–3.4 cm long, 0.8–1 cm wide, hairy at base, margin undulate and sparsely ciliate. Lip glabrous on outer surface 2.7–3 cm long, 1.5–2.8 cm wide. Staminode transversely elliptic to obovate-obcordate, 6–9 mm long, 8–1.1 mm wide, umbonate in centre, pubescent.
