    North-west to north central New Guinea
    Conservation
    Least concern. Calamus vestitus is widespread and occurs in both primary and disturbed forest.

    Ensyake (Nuni), Keboe (Nimboran), Kumisi (Yamur), Mafoni ngekobra (region of Wariori and Waramoi Rivers).
    Biology
    Primary and secondary lowland forest, often on alluvium near rivers, 10 - 600 m
