Morphology General Habit
Shrub or small tree up to 6 m. high, glabrous; branches and branchlets straight, angular or striate; bark ± dark-reddish-brown, lenticellate.

Leaflets dark green above and light green or green-yellowish below, lanceolate, narrowing to both ends, acute and mucronate at the apex, cuneate at the base, entire, rigid to subcoriaceous, sessile, straight or falcate; median leaflet 7–24·5 × 0·7–2·8 cm., the lateral ones a little smaller, sometimes arched at the base; midrib prominent on both sides (more raised on the under surface), lateral nerves numerous, 1–3·5(6) mm. apart, prominent above as also the reticulation, less prominent below.
