Habit
Perennial monoecious herb, all parts whitish mealy; stems up to 20 cm long, up to 1.5 mm thick
Leaves
Leaves alternate; petiole 0.5–2 mm long; blades ± oblong, 4–14 x 1.5–5 mm, cuneate or sometimes slightly hastate at the base, obtuse to subacute at the apex, with entire margins
Flowers
Male flowers c. 1 mm in diam. Female flowers subsessile; bracteoles ± triangular, up to c. 4 x 4 mm, ± truncate at the base and acute at the apex, with toothed margin and ± distinct green reticulate venation, with a ± lobed basal appendage, up to c. 2 x 2 mm, and looking like small extra bracteoles Flowers in axillary clusters with both male and female or only female flowers, the clusters aggregated into spike-like inflorescences that usually completely intergrade with vegetative parts of plant
Seeds
Seeds compressed, black, c. 1.2 mm in diam.
Distribution
N2 only known from the type collection.
Ecology
Altitude range c. 1500 m.
Note
This is distinctive with the basal appendages of the female bracteoles looking like an extra pair of small bracteoles.
