- Habit
- A shrub or small tree up to 4·5 m. tall; old branches dull-greyish, lenticellate, glabrous, the younger ones brownish-grey, glabrous or sparsely patent-pilose.
- Petiole
- Petiole 1·5–2·5 cm. long, flat and slightly marginate above, glabrous or pilose.
- Leaflets
- Leaflets glaucous or pale grey-green on the upper surface, paler below, coriaceous, glabrous or very sparsely pilose, rounded or retuse, or emarginate at the apex with the margin shallowly crenate, median leaflet (2·5) 4·5–8·5 × 1·5–5 cm., obovate to subcircular, narrowed and cuneate at the base; lateral leaflets obovate to subcircular, rounded and frequently emarginate at the apex, almost cuneate to rounded at the base; midrib and lateral nerves raised mainly on the under surface, reticulation conspicuous above.
