- Morphology General Habit
- Shrub or small tree up to 4·2 m. tall, much branched, glabrous; young branches reddish, slender, slightly striate, flexuous, pendulous, sparsely lenticellate, the oldest ones greyish and also lenticellate.

- Leaves pendent, 3-foliolate; petiole reddish, very slender, up to 5 cm. long, canaliculate above; leaflets subconcolorous or slightly discolorous (when dried), membranous to papyraceous, linear-lanceolate or lanceolate, narrowing to an acute and mucronate apex, with the margin ± irregularly dentate-serrate, the teeth subfalcate and mucronulate, sometimes patent, cuneate at the base; median leaflet 4·5–12 × (0·3)1·5(2) cm., the lateral ones a little smaller; midrib narrow, prominulous on both surfaces; lateral nerves pro-minulous above, slightly impressed below, sometimes inconspicuous on both surfaces; reticulation not visible.
