    Corolla pink; lobes 5–7 mm. long, elliptic.
    Stamens
    Stamens 2·5–3·5 as long as petals, shortly adnate to corolla; filaments connate into a tube of very variable length, hairy at the base.
    Fruits
    Capsule c. 3 mm. in diameter, spherical, many–seeded, circumscissile.
    Seeds
    Seeds 0–9–1 mm. long.
    Habit
    Creeping perennial herb.
    Stem
    Stems prostrate, rooting at the nodes, sparingly branched.
    Leaves
    Leaves 4–8 mm. long, alternate, narrowly to broadly obovate, subsessile to shortly petiolate.
    Flowers
    Flowers lateral, on pedicels 4–25 mm. long.
