Habit
Erect herb up to 40 cm. tall, glabrous; stem simple or branched, smooth to subquadrangular especially towards base.
Leaves
Leaves 15–40 x 1.5–5(8) mm., sessile, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, cuneate into narrow, petiole-like, somewhat amplexicaul base, entire to obscurely, remotely denticulate or evenly crenate-dentate, glandular-punctate.
Flowers
Flowers axillary, solitary, pale mauve or pale blue, shortly pedicellate, bibracteate.
Pedicel
Pedicels c. 0.5 mm. long, stout, glabrous.
Bracts
Bracts 1–1.5 mm. long, very narrowly-linear.
Calyx
Calyx minutely ciliate, glandular-punctate; lateral sepals 3–3.5 mm. long, linear-lanceolate, acuminate; posterior 4.5–5 x 2.5–3 mm., broadly ovate, reticulate veined; anterior c. 3 mm. long.
Corolla
Corolla c. 4 mm. long, upper lip, truncate, emarginate; lower lip equally trilobed.
Fruits
Capsule 3–3.5 mm. long, broadly ovoid to subglobose.
