    Habit
    White parasitic perennial, drying black.
    Stem
    Stems clustered, 5–40 cm high, simple, pilose to glabrous
    Leaves
    Leaves ovate, reduced to small scale leaves, ± 5 mm long, pilose to glabrous
    Flowers
    Flowers in racemes; bracts narrow-lanceolate, 4–12 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, acute to long-acuminate, glabrous
    Calyx
    Calyx tubular, 8–35 mm long, 6–14 mm wide, sparsely to densely pilose; lobes triangular, unequal, 3–8 mm long, acute to acuminate
    Corolla
    Corolla white, centre sometimes dark purple, 30–45 mm long; lobes rounded, ± 10 mm
    Stamens
    Stamen pairs unequal, included, shorter than the style
    Stigma
    Stigma clavate
    Fruits
    Mature capsule not seen.
    Ecology
    Montane and submontane forest; 900–1150 m
    Conservation
    Although known from several specimens, the area where found is under pressure with logging and habitat degradation, assessed here as Near Threatened (NT)
    Note
    Some pilose specimens ( Greenway 3290, 3380, Williams 23) from the same area have smaller corollas.
