    Habit
    Perennial woody herb to about 55 cm tall.
    Stem
    Stems erect, branched above, densely silvery-white, crisped pubescent with downwardly directed hairs
    Leaves
    Leaves up to 25 mm long, verticillate, trifid with segments about 0.5 mm wide, arising in upper third, glabrous but minutely scabrid on margins
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence short, densely spicate, 15–30 mm long, to ± 17 mm broad
    Flowers
    Flowers mauve
    Calyx
    Calyx glabrous without, but sparsely hairy on margins of lobes
    Corolla
    Corolla campanulate, tube 4–6 mm long, limb 10–12 mm in diameter, lobes broadly obovate
    Fruits
    Capsule not seen.
    Ecology
    Montane and submontane grassland;  ± 2000 m
    Conservation
    Not much material from Uganda and that too collected more than 50 years ago; possibly at threat from habitat degradation; assessed here as Vulnerable, VU B1b(iii), with the extent of occurrence to be estimated to be less than 20,000 km2 and projected decline in the quality of habitat.
