    Habit
    Spreading shrub to 4.5 m tall; young stems shortly stellate-pubescent.
    Leaves
    Leaves elliptic, 2.3–8.5 cm long, 0.9–3.4 cm wide, acuminate at the apex, rounded at the base, margin serrate, roughly hairy above, denser beneath; petiole 2–5 mm long, densely pubescent; stipules subulate, to 6 mm long.
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence a 3-flowered cyme, 1–2 in a leaf-axil; peduncle very reduced, up to 3 mm long; pedicels 5–7 mm long, densely to sparsely pubescent.
    Flowers
    Flowers yellow; sepals 4–9 mm long, densely pubescent on the outside; petals oblong, 3–6 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide.
    Androgynophore
    Androgynophore ± 0.5 mm long, glabrous.
    Stamens
    Stamens 4–5 mm long.
    Pistil
    Ovary 1–1.5 mm long, densely hairy; style 3–4 mm long.
    Fruits
    Fruit subglobose to obovoid, often obliquely so, 7–8 mm long, 5–7 mm wide, yellow-green, tuberculate-hairy.
