    Habit
    Tree up to 10(–?15) m. tall, hemi-epiphytic (and strangling).
    Twigs
    Leafy twigs 2–4 mm. thick, minutely puberulous, periderm not flaking off.
    Leaves
    Leaves in spirals; lamina coriaceous, oblong to subobovate or oblanceolate, 6–21 × 2–6 cm., apex subacute to obtuse or sometimes rounded, base obtuse to acute, margin entire; upper surface glabrous, lower surface minutely puberulous on the main veins; lateral veins 10–16 pairs, tertiary venation reticulate or parallel to the lateral veins; petiole 1–3.5 cm. long, (1–)2 mm. thick; stipules 0.3–4 cm. long, puberulous or glabrous, caducous.
    Infructescences
    Figs up to 5 together on ± curved spurs up to 4 cm. long and ± 1 cm. thick on the main and lesser branches (or just below the leaves); peduncle 1.5–3.5 cm. long, ± 2 mm. thick; basal bracts with free parts caducous.
    Receptacle
    Receptacle subglobose to globose, 3–4 cm. in diameter when fresh, 2–3.5 cm. when dry, minutely puberulous, greenish to purplish at maturity; wall 1–1.5 mm. thick when dry and wrinkled.
    Habitat
    Rain-forest and riverine forest, elsewhere drier types of evergreen forest, also in secondary associations; 800–1200 m.
