    Habit
    Annual olive-green pubescent herb; branches prostrate to procumbent, up to 50 cm. long; internodes 1-4 cm. long and 1.5 mm. in diameter.
    Leaves
    Leaves 2.5-3.5 cm. long; leaflets 3-5 pairs, ovate, 4-6 × 1.5-3 mm.; stipules lanceolate, 1.5 × 1 mm.
    Flowers
    Flower small, up to 8 mm. across; pedicel 3-6 mm. long, shorter than the subtending leaf.
    Calyx
    Sepals lanceolate, 2-4 × 1.5 mm., deciduous.
    Corolla
    Petals yellow, 3-4 × 2 mm.
    Stamens
    Stamens 5(-8); filaments 2-3 mm. long; anthers 0.5 mm. long.
    Pistil
    Ovary 2 mm. in diameter; style 0.5-1 mm. long; stigma capitate.
    Fruits
    Fruit pyramidal, 3-8 mm. in diameter; stalk 2-7 mm. long; mericarps 3-6 × 1.5 mm., sparingly hairy, punctate-rugose, sometimes with 2 minute spinules at the base.
