    Habit
    Erect annual 30–50 cm tall, developing ascending branches from near the base, densely pilose.
    Leaves
    Leaves 1-foliolate; leaflets mostly 20–50 × 4–10 mm, oblong-lanceolate, thinly pilose on both surfaces; petiole 2–3 mm long; stipules 0.
    Inflorescences
    Racemes 6–20 cm long, sublaxly 12–40-flowered, with a few flowers developing in the axils below; bracts (3)4–6 mm long, linear-lanceolate, ± as long as the pedicel; bracteoles 0.
    Calyx
    Calyx 6–7 mm long, densely pilose; upper lobes narrowly acuminate-triangular, 3 times as long as the tube.
    Corolla
    Standard elliptic, pale yellow, ± marked brownish, silky tomentose outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 10–11 mm long, angular, with a narrow twisted beak.
    Fruits
    Pod sessile, 8–10 × 6 mm, shortly ovoid-ellipsoid, pilose, 8-seeded.
    Seeds
    Seeds 2.5 mm long, oblique-cordiform, smooth.
