    Note
Tweedie 2379 (Kenya, Kilifi District: near Sabaki R. ferry, June 1962) from riverine flats at ± sea level is the only specimen seen from K 7 or such a low altitude. Mrs. Tweedie mentions the flats were swept by floods in November. Vollesen suspected mislabelling but Mrs. Tweedie was extremely careful. Seed might have been carried a long way. The species has been cultivated for broom-making.
