    Habit
    Low shrublet to 30 cm tall.
    Stem
    Stems with dense appressed to spreading stellate hairs
    Leaves
    Leaves cuneate to obovate, 30–120 × 2–8 mm, entire or larger with 1–2 teeth on each side, stellate-hairy on both surfaces; petiole 1–3.5 mm long; stipules linear, 1.5–3 mm long
    Flowers
    Flowers solitary or up to 4 in terminal clusters, subsessile or pedicel under 1 mm long; calyx 3–3.5 mm long, distinctly 10-ribbed, pubescent
    Corolla
    Corolla yellow; petals 6–8 mm long with ciliate claw.
    Stamens
    Staminal tube 1–2 mm long, glabrous or with scattered hairs at base
    Fruits
    Mericarps 5, 2.5 mm long, 2 mm wide, ± glabrous and without sculpture, lower part of back and lower part of lateral walls thin and papery, breaking irregularly to release seed; beak under 0.5 mm long.
    Seeds
    Seed ± 2 mm long, appressed crisped hairy.
    Ecology
    Open bushland, and scattered tree grassland with Acacia–Commiphora or more mixed Combretum, Thespesia, Acacia, Commiphora etc.; 30–250 m
