Habit
Plant up to 45 cm tall, glabrous or pubescent below, mostly finely glandular-pubescent in inflorescence region, usually erect and branched
Leaves
Leaves linear to oblong-lanceolate, 7–43 x 0.7–4.5 mm, acute to obtuse
Inflorescences
Racemes lax; bracts linear, 9–20 mm long; pedicels 1–2(–3.5) mm long

Calyx-lobes linear
Corolla
Corolla pink, 6–11 mm long
Fruits
Capsule ± ovoid, glandular-pubescent
Seeds
Seeds 0.55–0.75 mm long, dark brown, with straight marginal ridge forming a ring on the ventral face.
Distribution
N1 Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and perhaps in Spain.
Ecology
Altitude c. 1000 m.
Note
First record for Somalia (10º00´N, 44º57´E), where it was found in natural vegetation along with, for example, Wahlenbergia lobelioides subsp. nutabunda, another taxon with its main distribution in the Mediterranean region.
