Stems single, obscurely 4-angled to cylindrical, up to 60 mm tall and 40–60 mm wide, with rounded tips

Inflorescences at regular intervals along the angles of the stems, (2–)4–10-flowered, on reduced side-branches; flowers not opening simultaneously, on thick pedicels 3–4 mm long

Corolla-tube depressed globose, c. 1.4 mm long, ivory white with numerous purple speckles outside; lobes purplish to maroon inside, spreading, triangular, c. 1–1.5 mm long, with hair-like papillae inside, with 2(–3) versatile hairs at the tip
