Annual herb 20–80 cm high; branches scabridulous.

Leaves petiolate, ovate, 2.5–7 cm long, 1–5 cm wide, base cuneate, margins crenate-serrate, apex acute, scabridulous to glabrous on both surfaces; 3-veined from base; petiole to 35 mm long.
