Note
The above description was made solely from Engler’s original description in conjunction with a photograph of the holotype and a life-size drawing made from that specimen. From the evidence thus provided, I (D.P.) have no reason to consider that these two sources represent anything other than a good species. Unlike Fischer (Syst. Afrik. Lindernieae, Trop. und subtrop. Plflanz. 81: 165 (1992)), I cannot subscribe to it belonging to L. oliverana Dandy.
