Distribution
Brazil (Amazonas, Pará and Roraima), Venezuela, French Guiana, Guyana, Surinam.
Habitat
Plant found on fallen tree or at over 6 m high, both in "mata de baixio" and in "floresta plato"
Diagnostic
Similar to Philodendron fragrantissimum, but, it differs in its rosulate habit and without alternating between rosulate sections and elongate sections, and in the transverse section of the petiole, which is thicker, and sulcate on the adaxial side with keeled to winged margins, and rounded abaxially; the leaf blade is oblong-triangular in outline with a subcordate to emarginate base. In Philodendron fragrantissimum, the transverse section of the petiole is flatter and more triangular, and widely sulcate adaxially or flat with winged margins, and abaxially with central-rounded keels; the leaf blade is cordiform-subsagittate.
