- Morphology General Habit
- Perennial, medium-sized, up to 42 cm tall, with a thickish horizontal or curved rhizome.

- Culms solitary or somewhat crowded, 15–40 cm long, 4–8 mm wide (?), trigonous, glabrous

- Leaves up to 8 cm long; blade linear, flat, 3–8 cm long, 1–2 mm wide, scabrid on margin and primary vein
