Bulb spherical, 7–16 cm wide with neck up to 13 cm long.
Morphology Leaves
Leaves green, V-shaped, 7–10 × 6–12 cm, erect to suberect, exposing thick woolly fibres when torn, with a scabrous sharp ridge traversing the dorsal apex of the V, most leaves usually with intact apices.
