Shrub 2–4 m. tall, almost glabrous; bark pale grey or brownish grey.

Leaves trifoliolate; petiole 3–6.5 cm. long, grooved, slightly pubescent at apex of junction of leaflets; petiolules ± absent, the lamina bases decurrent; leaflets drying bright green, elliptic or oblong-elliptic, 4–11 cm. long, 1.3–4 cm. wide, narrowly acutely acuminate at the apex, narrowly cuneate at the base, thin, serrate except at base, virtually glabrous; reticulation not raised, lateral nerves in 8–11 pairs.

Inflorescences very slender, up to 16 cm. long, branched, the side branches few, ± 4 cm. long; peduncle up to 8 cm. long; cymule bases 0.5–3 mm. long, slender, 1–2-flowered; pedicels very slender, 2–2.5 mm. long; all axes virtually glabrous or micropuberulous.

Outer sepals oblate, 1 mm. long, 1.8 mm. wide, glabrous or with few small marginal hairs; inner sepals round, convex, ± 1 mm. long and wide, petals obovate, 1 mm. long, the scale densely hairy.
