Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences
Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle contracted; linear, or oblong; 7-15 cm long; 1-1.5 cm wide. Primary panicle branches appressed. Panicle axis with lower internodes 1-1.5 cm long; scabrous. Panicle branches scabrous. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled. Pedicels 0.5-3 mm long; scabrous.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Spikelets
Spikelets comprising 1 fertile florets; with a barren rhachilla extension. Spikelets lanceolate; laterally compressed; 5-5.5 mm long; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret. Floret callus pubescent. Floret callus hairs 0.2-1 mm long.
Fertile
Spikelets comprising 1 fertile florets; with a barren rhachilla extension. Spikelets lanceolate; laterally compressed; 5-5.5 mm long; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret. Floret callus pubescent. Floret callus hairs 0.2-1 mm long.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Bracts Glume
Glumes persistent; similar; reaching apex of florets; thinner than fertile lemma. Lower glume lanceolate; 1 length of upper glume; membranous; much thinner on margins; 1-keeled; 1 -veined. Lower glume primary vein scabrous. Lower glume lateral veins absent. Lower glume surface asperulous. Lower glume apex attenuate.
