Annual; caespitose. Stolons absent. Culms 25-50 cm long. Culm-nodes glabrous. Leaf-sheaths glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 3.5-4 mm long; acute. Leaf-blades 7-15 cm long; 2.5-3 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface glabrous. Leaf-blade margins scabrous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
