Leaves ascending, subsessile, variable; cauline leaves up to c. 7 x 0.6 cm. and linear-elliptic, or up to c. 7 x 2.2 cm. and lanceolate to oblong-elliptic, apices acute to rounded mucronate, margins revolute entire, midribs prominent below, lamina upper surface puberulous, lower surface finely pubescent, becoming scabridous; branch leaves mostly ericaceous, 1–3 x 0.1–0.3 cm., linear, sometimes up to c. 4 x 0.4 cm. and lorate-elliptic, scabridous or puberulous, revolute and entire on the margins, midrib prominent below.
