- Perennial; persisting, or short-lived. Culms decumbent, or rambling; weak; 8-100 cm long. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaf-blades involute; 2-4 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface glabrous, or hirsute; sparsely hairy; hairy on both sides. Leaf-blade margins glabrous, or tuberculate-ciliate; hairy at base.
