- Biogeografic region: Pacific. Elevation range: 200–3100 m a.s.l. Native to Colombia. Colombian departments: Antioquia, Bolívar, Boyacá, Caldas, Chocó, Cundinamarca, Huila, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Risaralda, Santander, Tolima, Valle del Cauca.
