Colombian departments: Antioquia, Arauca, Bogotá DC, Boyacá, Caldas, Caquetá, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Quindío, Santander, Valle del Cauca, Vichada.

Stems several or many in a clump, simple or few-branched, 1–10 cm long, mostly shorter than the leaves; leaves distichous, 3–17 cm long, densely and minutely pruinose-scaly, the thin, many-nerved sheaths overlapping each other and concealing the stem, the blades recurved, linear, terete, 0.5–2 mm in diameter and of soft or lax texture.
