The native range of this hybrid is Caribbean. It is a shrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. The hybrid formula is L. camara subsp. camara × L. splendens.

An erect unarmed shrub to 1 m tall or more, the young branchlets glandular and rather densely puberulous, the foliage very aromatic; leaves oblong-lanceolate or elliptic, blunt to acute at the apex, the margins crenulate-serrulate
