Small tree; branches mouse-grey; branchlets reddish brown, lightly pubescent.

Leaves opposite; lamina elliptic, up to 8 cm. long, 3.5 cm. wide, apex shortly obtuse-acuminate, base cuneate, pustulate, glabrous except for the sparse scales and pubescent domatia in the nerve-axils; midrib prominent beneath; lateral nerves 5–6 pairs; petiole up to 9 mm. long, slender.

Apparently coastal forest, seemingly rather rare; below 150 m.
