Biogeografic region: Caribbean, Orinoquia, Pacific. Elevation range: 50–450 m a.s.l. Native to Colombia. Colombian departments: Antioquia, Bolívar, Chocó, Meta.

Morphology Leaves
Sterile leaf-blade up to 20 x 7 cm, usually twice pinnatifid into triangular or lanceolate lobes, glabrous; fertile leaf-blade up to 24 x 12 cm, usually 3 times pinnatifid into linear lobes up to 1.5 mm wide; petiole up to 16 cm long, succulent, brittle.
Distribution
S1 widespread in tropical Africa and Asia.
Note
The single specimen known from Somalia is from near Baardheere. It has been believed to be lost (Pichi-Sermolli in Adumbr. 5: 648, 1957), but is still extant in FT.
